Under the Sacred Trees
Creative Sacred Spaces

Built in 1858, in a Modified Gothic Revival style, the house is one of the many heritage homes of the Annapolis Valley. With a vineyard on one side and a thick maple forest on the other, it boosts a deck with a view of Bear River. It is a peaceful magnificent rural retreat, where you can recharge your creative energy. Listen to the birds from the outdoor hammock space.  Center yourself under the sacred trees.

Bonjour, Hello, Taanshi

My name is Louise Miteouamigoukoue Spiritcougar Lefebvre and my companion is my Malamute named Animosh.

Let me introduce myself. I am a senior Indigenous artist and writer with multiple decades of experience. I arrived in Nova Scotia June 2023 and have grown very fond of Bear River. I have lovingly created Under the Sacred Trees as an artistic retreat space. For me, it is a place of peaceful connection to Nature, a place where one can come to recharge creative energies.
